This course covers how opiod overdoses happen and how naloxone works. It also goes into detail as to how to recognize overdoses, risk factors for overdoses, and myths about overdose reversal as well as how to administer naloxone.
Are you a law enforcement agency that wishes to have your personnel able to respond to possible opioid overdose situations with the use of Naloxone?
If so, are you aware that the Code of Virginia (§ 54.1-3408)* allows LEOs (and firefighters) as defined in § 9.1-101** to carry and administer naloxone if they have completed a training program.
